The development of the dress is started from my sketch.

The journey involves a lot of exploring on the design ideas

and trouble shooting on the patterns.

Resolving pattern issues is the most difficult and time consuming part of the whole process but it is fun.

When the patterns are ready, we need toiling to test if the patterns can achieve what we want.

Toiling sometimes can give you extra inspiration on how and where you want to further develop, a good garment takes a lot of toiling steps.

We spot the issues and we solve them.

Cutting the actual fabric is the proving of effective toiling. It is intimidating to make mistakes on the real fabric as you cannot undo it easily.

The choices on accessories can also make or break the garment.
